Jack Mason is a songwriter from the Lake District who’s music is a captivating blend of folk inspired storytelling and heartfelt introspection. Having played in many folk bands and gigged in the Leeds music scene as part of an electronic soft rock duo, Jack has been focussing on original solo material with influences including Paul Simon, Jose Gonzalez and Chet Faker.
Meet a singer-songwriter from Leeds, UK who plays Appalachian clawhammer banjo and blends traditional folk style into his original songs. Having opened for Chance McCoy (from Old Crow Medicine Show) and performed at various folk festivals throughout England, he has been lauded as “like a young Ewan MacColl” by the Nottingham Post.
