La Rumba IV is coming your way!
La Rumba is a full-day celebration of live Latin American music in Oxford, bringing together local favourites and nationally connected artists for an afternoon and evening of rhythm, community, and culture 🎶
The festival opens at 1pm with Los Bueyes and friends, featuring members of Son Cowleño, the Martin Goodwin Project, and Salsazón performing classic salsa and Latin covers alongside original material. A welcoming beginner salsa class at 2pm helps new audiences connect with the music. At 5pm, Oxford’s much-loved Los Grillos bring their distinctive psychedelic cumbia sound, before Juan Pachanga y su Banda close the evening at 7pm with high-energy tributes to Héctor Lavoe and other salsa legends 💃🪘
La Rumba celebrates live music, shared heritage, and growing audiences for Latin sounds in Oxford.
Doors open at 12pm, with the music starting at 1pm, interspersed with dance lessons at a complete beginner level that anyone can try. The night ends with Kwassa Kwassa DJs playing until close!
