Printmaking Linocut workshop
With Sally Anne Stewart
In this workshop you will learn the ‘reduction’ technique of linocut printmaking – making a print with multiple colours, using one block of lino.
Suitable both for beginners and those who have had a go at making one-colour prints and would like to try a more advanced technique.
We will cover the basics of linocut, including the different tools, mark-making methods and transferring your design to your lino block, and we’ll carve and print our designs so that you have your own beautiful, bold print to take home. I will assist you with planning your image, and ensuring the printed layers line up accurately.
The workshops will take place in the new pavilion space at the James Street Tavern, just off Cowley Road.
Venue: James Street Tavern, James Street, Oxford OX4 1EU
Dates:
Saturday, March 16th – 1pm-5pm
